Sunday, May 4th: Writing for Calm: Using Journaling to Release Anxiety
Led by Victoria Walther
3-4:30pm. In this workshop, we will spend time creatively approaching journaling as an extraordinary tool for self-exploration, problem solving, and providing peace of mind that can serve as an extension of our yoga practice (or maybe, the entry point to one!). Journaling can be used to manage our mental health and improve quality of life. This workshop will focus specifically on discharging anxiety and moving forward out of worry and overwhelm with clarity and calm.
Tailored to each attendee, you can expect to connect with yourself on a deeper level to meet your mind where it is, to find clarity with less effort, and hopefully develop a unique daily practice to improve your mental health and self-love.
You'll need your journal/notebook and a pen.
Bio: Victoria has been teaching yoga, meditation, and various exercise classes for over a decade! It is one of her favorite things ever to teach and to practice alongside fellow students. The physical practice she originally discovered has moved her past just exercise, and into the space of self-awareness, self-knowledge, and self-care that is truly fulfilling and joyful. She is excited to share how journaling (a life long practice for Victoria!) has proven to be an extension of her yoga practice.
Victoria has lived in Sugar Land with her husband and two kids since 2016. She has completed 500 hours in yoga teacher training.
